Hello Everyone and thank you for membership to your forum. I have been lurking here off and on for quite a while now and am continually impressed with the knowledge and information here.
We live on three acres right in the heart of Cincinnati with three Nigerian dwarf goats, seven hens, one roo, three dogs and three cats.
More hens and another Roo coming in the Spring and we are actively seeking the perfect full sized dairy goat to accompany our Nigerians.
We ( my husband and I) began our backyard adventure in 2010 with laying hens, which truly are the "gateway" animals to cloven hooves. :)
We brought home our first two Nigerians in April 2011 and freshened our senior doe in May this year. Loving and caring for these amazing animals has been one of the best decisions we have made.
They teach us so much. Again, thank you for membership to this great forum. Looking forward to learning more!

:welcome from Georgia
We love all the the dairy breeds ( really if its a goat we love them :) ) for milk but we have and recommend the Mini Nubian for not being quite as big but still giving lots of milk. We have a small place so space is a problem. Mini Nubians fit nicely on our small mini farm. :D
