Hey I have a nubian/boar cross doe named freckles and a cupple years ago her hooves where cut too short then was let to grow too long... now her hoof shape is aqwered and grows supper quickly and thick and she developing hoof root often... but she keeps going back to walking on her knees and that's not healthy for her... any ideas to keep her walking on all 4s and advise to keep her nails done without having to constantly trim them?

We feed Hay very rarely grain if we cant get hay. They only get grain when we don't have hay or is on the stand (also She has had this issue for several years)

That is not hopeful. Maybe someone else will chime in but that sounds a lot like founder to me and it's not curable. There are other things too that could cause lameness and not walking normally therefore feet that don't wear properly, but not a lot of things you can fix.

Shes a happy ongoing goat and she walks normaly when raising kids but she goes back to her knees after a couple months.. I don't know if she just finds it more comftible or if its a habbit of hers... shes had it for a few years 2 or 3 and none of my other goats have issues... So I mean I hope that's not the case but she is compy and happy just mainly want her off her knees... I've had some goats for 8 or 9 years
