My grandsons sheep had triplets. The last being half the size if the other 2. He is a bottle baby and 6 weeks old today. They all had Bose shots. His front legs are very bowed. He has been given 3 vitamin D shots..once a week for 3 weeks. We splinted for the past 5 days with no improvement. We would love to keep him as a barnyard pet..everyone loves him as he is such a sweet little guy. I just don't want him growing up with any pain and not sure what else to do. I am trying to get him into a vet. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!

Is the joint between the hoof and the lower leg solid (pasterns)? That looks like the pasterns aren't fully developed. If it is going to mend, it usually does so pretty fast. I would still check with your vet but ours said not to wrap but yours is in much worse condition than ours was.

Ours was better the next day. I'll have to dig out a couple of pictures of the lamb and her mom. We couldn't figure out why the ewe would not let her lamb lay down and every time it tried, she would hook her leg under it and make it stand. Instinctively she knew the lamb had issues and needed to keep it on it's feet. Our vet was amazed when we showed him pictures.
