It's amazing how my generation survived without carseats. We had to use seatbelts on long trips, but not around town. The state passed a seatbelt law when I was a teenager, so I've been buckling up ever since.I stood up in the front seat as a child so I could see out. Slam on brakes, right arm out to keep me from flying through windshield. Must not have worked too well for other people, that’s why we have car seats.
