Odd is here! Seeing as many of you also have accounts on BYC you may know me.
A little about me: I’m a happy girl in Portland, Oregon with spoiled chickens and guinea pigs. I also ride horses (but don’t have the land to own them.)
I joined…to be 100% honest I joined because BYC is down (for upgrades). :hide
Anyways, I love all animals and am definitely a chicken identification expert.
Some photos of the “herd”!

Welcome to BYH, we often play host to our forum cousins when BYC has to go down for updates. I started on BYC, I never knew chickens came in so many breeds and colors. I studied the predator and coop forums, reading of predators breaking into flimsy structures and killing all the chickens. I wound up building a Fort Know coop, impervious to attack--and this in a tiny backyard on a city lot mere blocks from downtown in a small town. But there were raccoons, the occasional snake, feral cats and such. I never lost a hen. Moved from there in 2015 to 8 acres, now going to move again to 2 acres, from there, I don't know yet. Eh

I joined all the forums, finally making BYH my home. LOL So look around, make yourselves at home and stay awhile.
