Loving the herd life
I have a big holstein bull calf who is has turned a medium brown (think milk chocolate colour). My Jersey cow loves him and licks him all the time and they are in the pasture full time so I am guessing he is fading in the sun? Anyone had anything like this before? They do have a cattle salt/mineral block and loose minerals available plus he drinks a TON and eats dairy ration and some grass hay and a field of fresh pasture...did I mention he's HUGE! Any ideas as to why he is so dramatically changing colour? He still is black around his eyes and nose but everywhere else is brown. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow.
