Stubby is a Pygmy doe that I bought in October. She has started to bag up and is a little swollen in the back end. I know goats are notorious for following the "doe code", but I have her inside the barn just in case she decides to have him/her/them soon. I wasn't told that she was bred when I bought her but it's not a big deal. She is a first freshener and is very skittish so I can touch her but she prefers to be watched from a distance. I can express "milk" from her udder, but it's only a few drops at a time and her bag isn't tight yet. I've attached a few pictures of her. I'm wondering if anyone has any guesses on how close she is to kidding. I've also attached a poll if anyone wants to guess how many she will have.

Have you felt ligaments?
She doesn't look like she is hollowing out yet (dropped).
I know nothing about pygmy udders but it doesn't seem ready.
I say 2 kids!

I have tried to feel her ligaments but they are quite far down and hard to find so it’s really hard to tell. Her udder is a little bigger today as I took those pictures yesterday but it’s not tight. I don’t know if her udder will get big or not, seeing as she is a first freshener.

Always tough with FF and not knowing due date!
That would make me crazy! I'd be a nervous wreck!
She looks pretty far along!

I had her in with a buck but her wouldn’t be due until March so she must have been bred when I bought her. I got her for a really good deal because the people didn’t like her frost-bitten Ears, but I think she is pretty cute. She is really uncomfortable and can’t seem to sit still. I am going a little bit crazy, but on the bright side, I’ll hopefully have some babies to tie me over until my other Does kid in March. I would like to get a due-date, but I’ve lost contact with her previous owners.

I took a few more pictures when I checked her today and have attached them below. I think she is pretty close to kidding. She has been dripping strings of goo all day and I’m very anxious and excited. I’ll make sure to add pictures of any kids she has.

Stubby ended up having twins, but unfortunately they were both stillborn. The first one born was quite deformed so I’m guessing it died and caused the normal looking kid to pass away. I have some pictures of the deformed kid if anyone would like to see them, but they are a little graphic so I won’t post them if no one is interested.

You can post them and use the spoil alerts button. that way they are hidden until someone opens it.

I am so sorry. :hugs
I know this had to be really heartbreaking for you and Stubby.
How is she doing? Are you milking her?
