I am not planning on showing my pigs, but I know that driving is a good way to direct them where you want to the go, or to separate them for giving shots etc. Two Questions:

1. At what age should I start training my gilts (they are 2.5 months old now) using a pig stick

2. Is there any particular way you are supposed to use the stick?

I have tried searching on the Internet for answers and have not been able to find any :/

Thanks!!

Ive Always just started as early as I could. They are not hard to train. Ive always found its best to feed near a solitary pen so you can herd them into where you want them.Whenever you need them to go to certain area try and bribe them with a little treat.Ive found that works too for my real skiddish ones.
