Flies can be more than just an annoying summertime nuisance—they can also carry disease, stress out your animals, and make time spent in the barn or backyard less enjoyable. Whether you're battling swarms in the chicken coop, keeping your barn clean, or trying natural remedies around your homestead, every animal keeper has their own tricks and challenges.

So let’s swap notes: How do you handle fly control on your property? What’s worked, what hasn’t, and what are your go-to methods to keep the buzzing at bay?

Dung beetles. I don't have to do anything, they just show up. Dung beetles break down the dug and bury it for their larva. Still have flies, but they are food for the swallows and other birds.
