how long should hand milking take?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having one. But geeze they are expensive!

That's why you should start looking for a reasonably priced used one now. Maybe by the time you really need it you will have found one.

It's going to depend on your area. Take a look at the new ones and decide what you would be willing to pay for a used one from that. Just be glad your looking small. We paid $530 just the used motor on the vacuum pump last fall.
