Hello! I have Rex rabbits. My does kits are 4 weeks old and I have read several different ideas on how often to breed a doe and so was curious what everyone's thoughts are? I have read of some breeding when kits are 6 weeks, weaning at 8 weeks and the doe kindles again 2 weeks later. Or waiting till the kits are weaned giving her a break then rereading. Anyhow just curious ;)

It really depends on personal preference and your doe. Pay attention to her condition. If she looks good, you can go ahead and rebreed her. If she starts to look too thin with her next litter, give her a little more time between litters, or change her diet, so that she can produce to your standards and maintain condition.

I personally rebreed between 4 and 6 weeks depending on the doe's condition and how fast her litter is growing, and wean two weeks later.
