Anything I should know? I give my goats a bit of sodium bicarb every day when it first comes on or when I move them to a new spot that's rich forage to help against bloat. They're also in a yard so they're limited in how much gluttony they can partake in at the beginning of the season.
My feed store adds a little to the grain anyway. Would a little extra at the start be a good idea?

It won't hurt. That and limit how much they get at first and they should be fine.
