Introducing

How should I introduce my pot belly pig to a new pig im getting. She is in a 30x20 pen and has never had any friends but chickens. How should I get her used to her new friends?

On "neutral" ground if it can be arranged is best for any introductions no matter the type of animal.

That being said...it's probably not possible. Walk the new pig up and down the fence and let them get used to each others scent before introducing the new pig to the enclosure.

They may fight at first but they should work things out relatively quickly.

Pot bellies are really solitary animals by nature but will tolerate others...keep that in mind when sqabbles arise. They may never become best friends but they should tolerate each other well.

Can I move her to another part of the yard for about 4-5days. Will that be long enough for her not to remeber weres shes been for the past month or so?
