Hi, I'm a newbe here - we have hair sheep. One Katahdin with twins (thier papa is a Dorper) and a Blackbelly Barbados with a lamb whose papa is the same Dorper - funny, they are all jet black- and beautiful!
We feed Alfalfa & Orchard grass and supplement with. Sweet lix for sheep, sweet grain with dates, apple trimmings, cottonwood tree leaves, corn cobs and whole dry corn. Is it ok to feed plain rolled oats? Thanks! Susie

Is there a reason you want to feed it to them? With hay and grain already being fed, I don't see the need to add oats to their ration.

Only in small amounts as we are still working on our two mamas which were very nervous when we got them. They were used to being chased around, we keep things calm and never chase - we've come a long way but have more work to do. We hand feed just a small bit of whole corn too - they love it and now eat out of our hand :thumbsup
