Awww.Soooo.......
My phone rings at 7, I'm fixing some crossed lines & giving the pass-down report to night shift. The phone rings at about 7:05, I'm putting my tools away & packing up my stuff.
I get to the car & check - it's been Dad calling. I immediately call him back.
"Hey Hun. Just wanted you to know you've got your house back."
"Huh?"
"Yeah, I moved all my stuff out today."
"But you don't have a hot water heater yet. "
"I'll manage for a couple of days."
"Ummm.. ok?"
"Ok. Have a good night. Love ya"
"Love you too"
Yeah!![]()

I'm off today.
The phone rings at 8:04. He wanted to let me know that he called the plumbing company & they're going to put in the water heater as promised.
Calls later to let me know they've put it in.
Calls later to ask if I've still got the new shower curtain that I told him I had & when will I bring it down.
Calls later to ask if the laundry basket full of towels that's been sitting in my utility room since I moped up the water were his (yes) & will I bring them down when I bring the curtain.
Calls to ask where his pot holders & dish towels are. I tell him they were ancient, badly stained & covered in mouse poo so we threw them away.
Calls to ask what time I'm coming down.
11am I give up on my day-off-nap-party & head down.Hang the shower curtain, fix the leaking bathroom faucet. Show him how to operate the new spray mop. He complains that he can't find the bath rug. I told him that it was threadbare, stained & the rubber was dry rotted and crumbling so we tossed it. I offer to drive him to Walmart & remind him that he still needs to get a vacuum before Amy starts cleaning in a couple weeks. Nope. He doesn't want to go out.
I'm not back home an hour before he calls to let me know that he just got back from Dollar General and they had bath rugs, pot holders, dish towels & everything else! He was thrilled, he had never seen anything like that there but the nice lady at the register showed him where to look.
I hope he's finally settled.
Still needs a vacuum.
I went to a nearby nursery the other day with Carmen & they had a couple of pawpaw trees!!!!Only one had a few leaves, so I only got one. I can try back in a few weeks to see if any of the others leaf out.
Also found a yellow butterfly bush. I can't wait to get those & the azaleas I got a while ago planted.
.... two of them are looking pretty rough - I hope they didn't die! I would think that they would've been ok for a couple of weeks in those big'ol pots....
Tomorrow is also fence day. I need to get Eva into the back field.
