Do topical ointments help? We use one called ArniCare. It is made from Arnica Montana and it works, instantly. My husband had knee replacement surgery and I rubbed his knee with ArniCare. Fabulous stuff. I have knee pain from worn out cartilage and the ArniCare reaches in deep to numb the pain. We buy 6 at a time.

I have tried prescribed ointments...but sadly they don't help. Specialist recommended I go for surgery. But hey...I'm not complaining...I'm alive and to me that's awesome. I just have to plan my activities and be extra careful.

@WantonWoodsman, have you tried using a brace? Way back when I was first told I had CTS the orthopedic surgeon issued one for each hand. Anymore when it acts up it is usually just my right hand so I sleep with that hand in a brace that keeps my hand in line with the wrist to keep pressure off the nerve. It is a tad annoying but it sure beats being woke up with the hand numb and then the pins and needles afterward. I do that every night for a while, several weeks, and then try sleeping without the brace to see if the numb comes back. If it does I keep using the brace and if it doesn't I stop until I start having problems again. Works for me. Just a thought.

@animalmom, Hi. I have braces and do use them. Sometimes they help and sometimes not. My main problem is that my hands act up whilst I'm working and the braces make it impossible to complete my tasks. Thank you for your advice and sharing.

I truly am sorry @WantonWoodsman , my eye isn't "Critical" enough to help ya to get Better.....cause, I couldn't do it with a Brush, much less a jig saw. That "Attention" to detail is really spectacular....truly it is. :thumbsup
BTW, I am glad to see ya out and about....I've been wondering how things was going with ya and missing the dialogue.:)
