I have had nigerians for a couple of years, but none are registered. We are getting 3 Myotonic (fainting) goats the end of the month and they are registered. So my hubby wants me to take care of that. I went on the website and printed all the paperwork out. Do I need a farm name and a herd name? Or can I use one name for both? I have seen on people's websites where they have two. I am doing good to come up with goat names. :) Is there anything I should know before joining? Yes, we have an extra pen for the new ones. Hubby knew I always wanted a few and he knew it was just a matter of time before I found someone that had some nice looking ones and were not mixed with other breeds of goats. Thanks and have a blessed week.

Personally I think the herd name should have some part of your farm name in it so people can identify your goats to you. But be careful how long you make the herd name since there are usually only so many letters that can be used. Like my farm name is Salvagno Farm, Inc but my herd name is Salvagno's. ADGA and AGS only allow 30 total letters to be used (including spaces) so I wanted to keep the herd name as short as possible to give me the ability to have more letters for the actual goat names.

I did similar to Karen, my farm name is RainySunday Ranch, but my herd name is RainySunday, so there is more room for goat names
