Fiona is due July 4th according to the person I got her from. Her sister ( bertha ) is due the same month but they were not able to give me a better date.

I am not looking forward to kidding in July but I am looking forward to seeing when they have.

I hope to get pics in the next few days of the girls. They are both large mostly black nubians bred to a large red nubian... Come on doelings and one buck.

let all cross our fingers for triplets from both 5 girls and one boy... Ok I guess that is asking a bit much :)

:You have been smoking that wacky tobbacky again haven't you????? l LOL.

I for one don't like having kids in hot weather. The last doe kidded last Friday and it's now about 95 here today.

I do hope you get some doelings.

Most of all, I hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Is she a first timer??

Yes they are both first timers. They are twins from a set of triplets which is why I was hoping for triplets.

They were both bred when I got them so I guess I really did not "plan" for July kids. Worse comes to worse. I am going to move them into the barn with the fans running.

Right now they are spending a lot of time in the woods down by the pond where it is cooler. Smart girls... But I am worried with them being FF that they may need help.

I have had many random people stop when they see them in the field and ask if they were pregnant and when I would be selling their kids. ... yes I am partial to them since they are mine and think they are nice looking goats but that is just weird.

Best of luck to you on your kidding. And if you get 5 girls, I want you to send me whatever lucky charm you are using.

We are also expecting our first kids soon. I thought first timers were more likely to have singles. I guess this is rumor?

I would be happy with singles too but of course happier with twins or more... I was just wishful thinking.

Fiona is getting mighty large I would say maybe 2 Bertha on the other hand is not getting a large but also not bagging up as much so she may still have a bit to go. She is getting the larger teats and tiny bag.... so time will tell

Woo Hoo another nubian named Fiona...

LOL...we had a Nubian-Boer X doe named Fiona, and a buck named Shrek who was also Nubian-Boer X. (We also have a Bertha).

Of course we had to name Fiona's first born Farkle.

Many people don't know the names of Fiona and Shrek's kids from the movie, but they are Farkle, Fergus and Felicia.

Rachel had trips as an FF. We were VERY surprised, since we only saw two in the sonogram. It was a good surprise though. We got 2 does and 1 boy. It is 106-110F here all week, I don't think my does would be able to handle the heat AND being pregnant. Hopefully it is coolor where you live! Happy kidding!
