Hey everyone:
I live in Western Washington and it has been a particularly rainy period. Does anyone have any ideas on keeping mineral block or loose mineral dry? I keep some out for free choice for my 2 Nigerian does. It is covered....on my porch where the girls like to hang out. ( Such a hillbilly life I lead!) Both loose and block are kept in shallow dishes. They seem to just draw water from the air and end up with puddles.
Thanks!

we don’t use a block because I was told that it can be harsh on their teeth and toungue. I don’t know if that’s true. The only thing I do..is put a little out each day, if it is low, due to the moisture. I’d definitely make sure it covered more than just by the porch...can you make it , it’s own little angled roof, so the rain doesn’t wick in? Just high enough off so they can get their heads in. That’s probably what we would try first...since they won’t touch them if they’re wet...picky goats! Can you put them in the barn too? That way they have two choices? Good luck!
