My llama passes gas loudly and often. Is there anything I should be concerned about, or is this normal? I've never known my other llama or the alpacas to do it.

I wouldn't be too worried.
I have a alpaca who toots all the time, especially when he lays down on scratches his face with this back leg.

Some of my sheep do it too hehe suppose they can't help it ;)

Thanks! You're right about the scratching. That's when she usually does it. And when she runs. :)

Sounds pretty normal. The only thing I can think of is maybe his food is too rich? My llama lady says they don't do well with legume hay and prefer a lot of roughage.

But I'm just parroting what the local llama lady says. Since llamas/alpacas aren't my main animal, I don't really know. I just ask her questions and do what she tells me. Each year the llamas and alpacas get healthier.
