Hearing your stories makes me feel grateful I got to have my Shadow for another 6 years after my fathers passing. He was with me through so much of my own personal journey through grief/trauma its so strange not to see him anymore. Yknow that dog was in my life for 13 years he was more a sibling than a pet. Ah but death is an inevitable part of life and part of a scared cycle. Even if it isn’t easy for those of us left.
