If yoi cdon't have any pennicilin you might not be abe to find any over the counter any more. It bcame prescription only last year. Call around to the feed stores and see if they have any, if not call your vet and see if you need to bring the sheep in for a consult before they will prescrbe any for you. If they will give yoi a prescription, try to get a prescription for a full bottle.

I will repeat both and take in if I don't see any improvement by Wednesday evening. Corid everyday for 5days and Naxcel for 3.

I need to shuffle sheep or spend more $$ on equipment. I only have 19 but right now they are crowded in one side except Snickers, Socks, and Oreo, LOL.

Rams 1
HSC1831 Snickers (7yrs old)

KEEPER EWES 11
Cassandra's 4: Mocha, Oreo, Socks, Scarf
Mine 7: Aria, Shy Lady, Blaze, Hattie, Misty, Gwynn (3wks old), Gell (3wks old)

SALE LIST Ram 1, Wethers 3 & Ewes 3 = 7
GWR2409 (6mo old), GWR2413 (5mo old), GWR2414 (5mo old), GWR2415 (3wks may sell as ram)
Dottie LPH19, Peggy LPH04, GWR2410 Coconut (10mo, not growing well)

Debating on how old is big enough to sell the wethers as meat. And if I should send Coconut that way since she isn't developing well. She's the one I bottle fed though.

If you are selling the ramand wethers at auction 5 months is a good age. How much do they weigh?

If you are not happy with Coconut's growth and conformation, cut your losses on her and sell her too. What is your nearest auction yard? Call them and ask what lambs are going for right now at the size your lambs are.

Once I get back to Texas we will be weeding out the ewe lambs and sending a couple of them to auction. 4 will go into the freezer. I will also be sorting out the ewes and may send some of them to auction as bred ewes now or may wait until after they lamb depending on breeding and how they look. Same with the ram lambs. I need to decrease the flock by about 20. I don't want to carry too many for the pasture to support. No use moving to Texas if I am going to continue feeding hay and supplement all year round! LOL

Not sure how much Coconut and wether lambs weigh. I only have a hand held scale for babies. I'll have to call about market report for sheep. The livestock auction is only about 5 minutes away.

The proven registered ewes will be listed for sale thru KHSI registry FB page, etc. They are nice animals, I just want to cut down on the number of half sisters I have from that ram to make room for more genetics.

It’s hard to cut numbers. You can’t keep them all, so cull for the best, sell those that don’t add up to what you want in your flock. Are you selling Snickers, to get another ram? Or are you going to keep him , he is so gentle and sweet.
