Modern furniture is made of overpriced cardboard and toothpicks. I don’t buy it if I can avoid it.

New twin bed frame is about half way done. It’s designed to knock down into head, foot, 2 rails, 4 crossbraces, and 1/4” plywood deck. $100 of materials and it will survive all 3 kids jumping on it. Our king size bed is same design and holds over 1,000 pounds easily.

This is a transition period. It won’t be easy, but y’all will get through it. There is a better life up ahead, a more secure job, more job opportunities and a new house and land is waiting for you.

Cassandra is at horse camp today.

I swear the pilot bit for sinking screws is the 10mm socket of the wood working world. I spent so much time looking for the drill bit vs actually assembling the frame.

Cassandra had so much fun at horse camp. Grandma Steph has a bunch of nice comments about her seat and handling the reins. The first day was western riding but I didn't get pictures of that.

She'll remember this for the rest of her life! My first lesson was at Fort Sam Houston. I was in heaven.

My parents wouldn't allow me to ride, so I enjoy watching.

So sweet. I remember my first lesson - group lesson walk trot. A lot of trotting - oh geeze I bounced and bounced (owww) the second lesson I figured if I stood up the whole time I'd be better - it worked but I was tired after an hour, by the third lesson I was posting.
Cassandra has a great lower leg - she's a natural!
