What is their gender? If you have an uncut jack, I would check on getting him cut before you claim him. A jack will go after other female animals in heat. I had a friend that tried one as a pasture guard and the jack chased his cows and kept the bull from breeding the cows. Around here, donkeys are pretty cheap, they usually are less than what it costs to castrate them.

When opportunity knocks, you have to open the door. But if you are going to be moving to TX, I would hope to not have opportunity at the door too often until after the move ;)

Yeah... what Bruce said... If you're seriously contemplating the possibility that you might consider possibly, maybe, potentially, moving (Did I qualify it enough? ;)) you may want to put acquisitions of new animals on hold...
