[Mini Horses]

Yep, then a doeling & placenta dropped. Gave her hay, grain, water. Waited for grain to be eaten to remove feed bucket as she's jugged but, in a side of a barn others can access. Don't want issues. And left a dim light on so she & kids were ok penned. Tomorrow I'll move them out of there to another barn & area. Good night. Last of chores tonight.

The herd of goats are all out by feeders & hay right now. Enjoying the decent weather. Kinda nice to give new mom privacy for a while. Her screams when she passed that buckling prob made them think they didn't "want any of that" actually both kids are nice big babes, 3/4 boer. Momma doe is out of a full dairy girl by a full boer buck.

Wow...actually hot outside!

Week old doelings....doing well. Doubled weight.

Ones born Thurs night...male black, female brown & spotting happening.

Then, an hr ago... FF had single buckling.

Two more bagged & should kid pretty soon. Hope so, weather is great!!

Tonight another FF had twins...feels like boy/girl. They're together & safe. She definitely knows they're hers! Will see how things are tomorrow. Skiddish, not a hands on girl but the kids can be. Was hoping it would be the other gal -- she's ready, too.

Well -- close. Both bucklings. Brown with some white spots. Pics later, curled up in sun now. Cold & windy but Mom has them fed & in a good spot.

Because of wind we have a feel like of 23...dropping to 18 by morning. So just came in from tarping a walk in opening on West side to keep that from just blowing thru like a wind tunnel. Checked all babies in, watched them nurse and curl up to nap. The buck is being a real Ahole tonight -- he's gonna find himself out of favor with me! That's not a good thing. But kids are growing nicely. Told the really ready "next" doe to suck it up until at least tmrw afternoon. Not swollen, so think she'll hold.

Filled waterers, plugged in one hot tub -- to dip from in morning -- and plugged in heat strips for barn lines. Much warmer in the goat lounge barn than out, esp with body heat...even just out of wind is warmer! Think I'm done for tonight. I know I'm not planning more outside! I'm warming up. That wind is brutal.

We've had a brutal wind this afternoon, and it's still pretty cold, as of a few minutes ago.

We had some hard winds Wednesday. It blew things around, howling hard wind. Next morning it was calm.
