Tonight he's standing and taking a few steps. Suckling better. Looking for the milk bar & actually finding it. He's not stable when standing, wobbly, just like when they stand in first few min after birth. Not good at getting up once down but trying. I swear, this has been strange.

Sounds like he probably was premature. We had Nubian quads one year that were preemies. Belonged to DS3. We had to put them in sweaters we made out of DH's old socks - almost no hair. Couldn't stand so DS3 and I had to hold them and bottle feed (not a problem since all our dairy kids were bottle fed). Then we had to massage tummies to stimulate pooping. Took them at least a week or 2 to stand. They all survived and grew into pretty goats. The 2 girls joined his show string and did well. One buck was sold and the other one became DS3's pet wether named Goatzilla. DS3 would put him in a goat harness, walk to the bottom of the road, connect the harness to a beach chair he had attached to a skateboard. Goatzilla would run home and DS3 would do it again. Have I said those were FUN TIMES!?

This little guy -- named him Rocky -- is now doing good. His mom has been a great one. He's gained plenty of weight & strength. Follows her, doing the goats run & jumps, sideways even. I'm pleased with them. She's a good doe, very responsible mom. He'll prob be a loving wether. Something to keep with weaning kids next yr. I've got a lot of emotional investment in this one because of time & his mom was a bottled triplet, so...yeah.

Kidding is almost done. One girl still on hold but I expect twins within 72 hrs. They've dropped & she's about 98% on bagged.... This is few min ago.

Low hanging udder, Oreo was having trouble getting teat. Just came in from getting him on & tummy full. Socks is full!! He's the more aggressive. Will take a couple days, so I'll be working that to get him going well. Got some colostrum while under there plenty more in there. Will get another half pint tmrw.
