Missing alerts / notifications on followed threads

Maybe my brain isn't working right but I'm not receiving any alerts
The threads are watched and I have checked the boxes and saved.
Still they are not coming through. Any help is very much appreciated and thank you in advance.

Just to be clear, you mean alerts, like the red number's to the top right, not email notifications, right?

Yes the red alerts not email Rob. I checked the boxes for alerts when a new message is posted to a watched thread and for when someone @ me. Some alerts had come through this morning but not for every watched thread. No big issue with it, I know you have a lot on your plate but just wanted to make sure it's not me doing something wrong.

I think I have the alert thing figured, that light bulb popped up above my head! Am I right in thinking that you have to make sure the last page has been opened so it thinks you have read all replies? It seems if I click on the last page it removes it from my unread watched threads list and therefore any most posts after that pop up as an alert.

I seem to be getting them, got one (site alert) about your post
Though I don't really rely on them, I just head to "Watched Threads".

I'm at work when i am on BYH so i mostly just watch for alerts....except on a day like today when i have no work to do
