Yea!

Going to be starting a mohair/Angora goat farm to go along with horses and chickens!

Just bought 3 wethers--not weaned yet--from a breeder in the southern part of the state. I will get them mid-July after the youngest is weaned. Looking forward to spinning and weaving. I plan on doing a variety of products: pot holders, hats, scarves, rugs, saddle blankets, skirts, belts and more. I live in a forest so I plan on experimenting with natural dyes as well.

Advice, hearing your own experiences and anything else is welcome!

I have no advise for you, but I knit like a mad woman. Does your business plan include selling yarn? If so please keep me in mind. I'd love to keep reading on your progress.

You might consider shearing in the spring...I've lived thru enough midwest winters to know you need all the coat you can get. We shear in April here and throw a dog coat on for a few days till they reacclimatize to the change from mohair to nohair
