My Messy Life - Journal

Oh, speaking of which, I got my ADHD testing done in December and results in January. I have the ADHD that presents without the H part. They don’t just call it ADD anymore. Now it all falls under ADHD and they have to add a string of other words to differentiate what kind, and I’m pretty sure the word inattentive is in there.
This is me exactly except without the fun part! Seriously, I’m always the slug. I always wished I had the hyperactive part and then I could run around do things.
I relate very much with all this. I haven't been tested and won't be, but I suspect I have inattentive adhd. I'm either a slug or a tornado. Neither is "great" but I prefer to be a tornado over a slug. Even if it's more chaotic, stuff gets done. DH is a highly self motivated and productive person. He doesn't understand me being so unbalanced, and thinks no productivity is laziness and therefore a character flaw.
To be clear, I'm not and don't use my thoughts on this as an excuse to things not getting done. I acknowledge it though because it does play a part in how I need to approach my life/chores/raising kids.
I'm very good at "dailies": Dishes, basic tidying, laundry... but I suck at projects. It's overwhelming to plan, never know where to start.... 😅

Whoever laugh reacted my last post needs to fill me in on what was so funny. 😅

Currently steeping Dandelion heads to attempt Dandelion Jelly tomorrow. I would also like to make Violet Jelly! Has anyone else every made it or had it? I'm so intrigued!

I almost laughed at it, it was a toss up... but, it would be me laughing at myself, because, I resemble many of your remarks...lol

I love how you write, it makes me smile, or chuckle. And while I don't think I have a disorder, I so thoroughly understand not knowing where to start.

And besides...you laughed, too. 😅

I thought we were laughing with you about the totally different aspects of your thought processes. And with kids at home, why/when would you have time to plan ahead of immediate needs?? I remember youngins demands....and destroyed "plans".

Maybe I'm using that emoji wrong? I thought it was a nervous sweating "awkward" type emoji. 😂 oh, well.
It's no big deal. I wasn't trying to be funny and wasn't laughing so the reactions coming in were confusing. But I got it now.
My mom and some of my sisters think I'm nuts for not planning things more. I have the most kids though, and things *usually* work out!

I've made dandelion jelly, tea and wine. I was bored. My mother lives with us and I was her caretaker. I let the dandelions grow in my garden because i like the puffballs. The kid in me I guess. Turns out they weren't dandelions, but hawksbill, a dandelion cousin. Close enough for me! I rolled the flower heads between my fingers to get the green part off. I posted it all on the easy garden.

I also made some blueberry cordial

Just read through the thread... very fun! Sounds delicious, I might have to try it! We make vodka infused alcohol for what is called Birdy Juice, in golf circles. Whenever someone gets a birdy (one under par) everyone has a sip or two...lol. Hubs makes an amazing Peach (with our peaches) and Apple Pie birdy juice and he doesn't even drink. 🍸 He will usually have a sip though. He makes enough to fill bottles for his golf buddies.

We finished cutting up the beef today. We have been working on it for the last several days. I haven't tallied how many lbs we got yet.
I've been thinking about my sheep flock recently. One of my favorites is a great girl. She throw twins, is a good mama, has had no issues with anything. Her lambs are on the small side. I was supposed to process her daughter last year but ended up keeping her to see how well she grew out. She's not as big as her mama... And the twins she had last year are pretty runty. They'll be 1 next month and they are little... I doubt they're even 40 lbs.
Mama is a Prarie sheep mix. She's been such a good girl... but if her babies just don't grow out nicely, there's no point in keeping her. 😭
On the other hand, my other favorite with hardbag, who makes complete sense to either sell or process, I don't think i can bring myself to do it. I have to bottle raise her lambs. Her lambs have been hearty, though. She just can't raise them.
