My Messy Life - Journal

My mom hit some debris in the road that fell off the back of a trailer. It destroyed her tire. Thankfully, she was able to pull off to the side safely. They've been waiting for roadside assistance since 5pm! :he
I hope they get help soon. Scary to be stuck on the side of the road.

And this was all to put a donut on the vehicle. Unfortunately neither of my parents know how to switch out a tire. It was on a busy highway, speed 75 mph without much of a shoulder.
A local towing company finally got there and said they couldn't drive the rest of the way to my place on it. They ended up getting a hotel. A lot more rigmarole with a rental cat company and then a local tire place to replace the tire. Then they say the strut is bent so they have to replace the whole vehicle anyway. 🙄
They finally got a new vehicle from the rental place and are driving here.
My dad's health hasn't been the best the past few years and he tires easily. Normally on long road trips I wouldn't be worried because my mom is with him. But one of my sisters called me last night to say my disabled brother shoved mom to the ground and punched her in the head repeatedly day before yesterday. So we were all worried about both of them being stuck on the side of the highway for so long!

How are your parents doing today?
They seem well, thanks for asking! They're really enjoying their visit.
We had our first lambing and my mom was so excited to see the little baby. His momma is taking good care of him. He's got a full belly and is vibrant.

One of my ewes is limping heavily. I will see about catching her tomorrow to take a look at her hoof. I don't know if I made this up or if I read it somewhere, but can heavily pregnant ewes limp if the fetus is pinching or pressing on a nerve?
I have my Storeys Guide to Sheep in the guest room which I will check tomorrow but my parents are sleeping atm.
