That makes sense. I feel dumb that I didn't realize that.

My shower looks like this:

Since there's a hole in the floor that the baby could easily fall into, he's pretty much been glued to my side all morning. Not of his own free will, lol.
We've gotten a few inches of snow overnight. Lots of reports of cars sliding off the roads. I'm supposed to take the girls to a women's christmas dinner tonight at a local diner. Somehow I got roped into coordinating a game. 😂 that is so not me. But I found these printable sheets on etsy "who is the grinchiest?" and "who is the elfiest?". People get points based on what they answer to a question. Whoever has the most points wins. The questions are pretty basic so it makes it better. One for the grinch is "do you have a pet?"
I did buy a prize for each set of questions. The grinch winner gets a beanie hat with the grinch's face and the elf winner gets those legs you can stick into your trunk so it looks like there's an elf hanging out of your vehicle. 😂
Looks like you have a major project going on. Been there done that.

Stay safe today and have a fun time! 💗

I keep honeybees, so it's honey all the way for me. 😊

My husband keeps mentioning getting bees. I'm such a wuss. I know they're not supposed to be aggressive but I'm freaked out by anything with a stinger. I do enjoy honey, though! I'm sure I would eat a lot more of it if we had our own hive.
And yes, lots of work going on here! He got the subfloor laid yesterday so no more gaping hole in the floor. I'm happy about that. I just kept picturing the baby falling through to the basement. 😳

The Christmas party was fun last night. I did forget we were supposed to bring one gift per person for a random gift exchange. We left for the party early and bought what we needed on the way there. The games I picked went well. I was also asked to lead the singing for a couple of Christmas hymns. One of the ladies asked if I needed a pitch pipe to find the right note. I looked at her blankly. I didn't even know what a pitch pipe was. 😅

Today has been busy even though it's early. I had a 9am haircut, and my husband asked me to drop off EDDM mailers at two different post offices. I also stopped and bought chicken feed. I'm going to be buying and tracking it myself so I know what the actual feed bill is. My husband got annoyed the other day that I haven't made more progress on getting rid of excess animals. He's a very organized person. I guess what he's looking for is a list of what animals I have and why I have them, so we can then easily see what needs to be gotten rid of. The feed I bought today was $173 and I got 9 bags. Roughly $20 per bag. I'll now track to see how long it lasts. Even if the feed bill is lower than what he thinks, he will want me to take a good look and get rid of "pets".

If he gets bees, then he won't have any room to complain about your animals, I'd encourage him to go for it...lol

If you can find a place to buy in bulk, it's even cheaper.

Glad the hole is covered, I'd be freaked out too!

I agree. Let him get bees AND most importantly, HE does all the work!
Please don't misunderstand. I'm not preventing him from getting bees. He can do whatever he wants. I'm sure he would have made the jump already if I wasn't hesitant but I think that's more because he knows it would all fall on him because I can't be his back up. He is an organized person but he also likes efficiency and less work. He doesn't like maintaining extra things because he already has enough work to do. I don't think our sheep or goats would ever get their feet trimmed if I didn't take care of it. I get the feeling that maintaining the hive would be more than he would want to deal with, and that's assuming there are no issues. If we got mites in the hive or something, I fear it would be bad. 😬

We do have a place to buy in bulk but unfortunately it's over an hour away. Since we typically buy non GMO I don't think there was a significant enough of a price break to make the trip just for chicken feed. If we are also buying pig or broiler feed, we make the trip.
