I was without a sink for 3 days. The days felt very long. We did dishes in the shower and ate off paper plates whenever possible. Normally we don't use single use plates and such but it felt like the right decision. DH ripped out all the counters and has since rearranged them and out them back. New countertop put in and he installed a range hood that actually works! Happy dance
And last night he even told me to go pick up pizza. He must have been able to tell the kitchen being a disaster was stressing me out. It's hard to cook and clean where there's no counters. Everything ended up on the table where the baby could reach it.
I'm hoping the worst of it is behind us. He's planning to stay up late tonight and keep putting up cabinets.
This whole things started because he wanted to lay down new flooring. We still haven't gotten that yet. 😂

I meant to say this the other day.
At the Christmas party, I ordered a Stromboli. I was expecting, you know, a STROMBOLI, like these:

This is what I got:

It's a hoagie roll that they opened and put pizza toppings on.

We remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. Took almost 6 months. Hubs built some new cabinets and we had to refinish the ones we kept. We moved our stove out in the garage and that's where I cooked. Thankfully I had a sink in my laundry room. I know what it's like and I'm so happy for you to have part of your kitchen back. It will be so nice when it's finished. 💞

That was definitely a misuse of the name...lol Hopefully it tasted okay.

I've started reading your bee thread. I'll have to take a look at your other thread, too. I struggle to sleep frequently so that when I have some "free" time, lol.
Isn't it wonderful to have a husband with skills like that?! I'm so blessed DH can fix or build anything. I can't wait for the kitchen to be back in usable condition, never mind being cosmetically done.
He's been working on our house for years. A lot several rooms that are "done " aren't actually, like still have nail holes in the trim that need to be filled or something needs to be painted.

It was meh. Not gross but not something I ever would have ordered. I like bread but it needs to be GOOD bread. A hoagie roll isn't something I want to spend my calories on. 😂 I gave some to my kids and they liked it.

A bunch of ladies met at a house and we made fleece tie blankets. One of the women likes to make a bunch to donate to local EMS. Today we got 17 put together. I think she wants to get 45 done total.

She made 47 herself last year. Her arthritis is pretty bad and she's 82 and it took her a very long time. She didn't do much of the blanket making today but she still stayed busy. She made taco soup and potato soup. A fee ladies brought some sides and we had a feast.

I definitely feel blessed!

I don't sleep well either and find myself up at all hours... not fun. It's especially hard when you have little ones.

Sounds like a lovely day! 💞
