There is an alpaca show this weekend near me. I am bottle feeding 3 crias this weekend. They are fed every 3 hours. First bottle at 6am, last bottle at midnight. Needless to say, I won't be getting much else done this weekend!

All I can say is that it is a good thing they are cute! :p

The dams of 2 of the crias had very little milk. The other cria's dam died a couple days after giving birth. The death was actually not related to the birth. She was an older gal.

OMGosh are they adorable! (my favorite color is the brown in the middle). Always a fan of brown tones.

I bottlefed 3 'kids' (goats) this spring, I know too well how much work bottlefeeding is. & I've bottlefed numerous kittens over the years too. Darn ferral cats always came around our house or my parents & had kittens. Thank God for spade & neutering. ;)

Did you make the wrap warmers yourself? I've seen patterns for wrap warmers you can make for either fleece or whatever other material you want. Are they just wrapped all day or just the cool evening & morning along with the cold night?

I didn't make them. The owner brought them over in the coats. Right now they keep their coats on 24x7 since it is cold here. But it is supposed to warm up this weekend so I will probably take the coats off during the day.

No, he will be fine. These crias are younger. He is growing in a really nice fleece.
