Ok, this is just cool! I'm testing out a new feature and want your feedback on it!

It's called "Similar Threads" and does two cool things:
  • Shows a list of similar threads when a user is viewing a thread
  • Shows a list of similar threads when a user is creating a new thread
So, here are the two examples

If I go to the thread: "Goat Whisperer's & SBC's kidding thread: easier kidding time" and scroll to the reply box, I see this new section:

... and, when I'm typing a new thread, I see this as I start typing:
upload_2016-12-24_1-5-1.png

So, give it a try and let me know what you think!!

Thanks!!!

Ya, it should help people find existing threads to read and post into (reducing duplicate threads) and also help people discover other interesting content while they are reading!

Oh, and important note: We always suggest that members use VERY descriptive titles, but with this addon it's even more important because that's the info it uses to determine which threads are the best match, for example:

"PLEASE HELP!" isn't a good title

"I think my goat has a broken leg, what do I do?" is much better!

I like the feature, I noticed it in the Merry Christmas thread earlier.

I noticed it earlier as well and wondered if I'd done something without realizing... Nice to see I didn't "break" something (again)...

Hmmmm, do tell :D

It didn't have to do with the top bar of recent threads, members, etc being moved did it?

I thought maybe it was a glitch. Maybe not :idunno Seems fine now.

Nope... didn't break any of those things. I am just dealing with the broken cache issue... new posts don't show up and have to clear cache to see them.
