Hi everyone -- what a delightful forum this is! I'm looking forward to learning lots from members here.
I currently raise suri alpacas, and keep a few pet chickens (2 Barred Rocks and 1 Golden Comet who don't lay much any more and are too old to eat, but who run to greet me when I come home or go outside and follow me everywhere!), a lone guinea (I'll be getting another dozen or so shortly -- the slugs are building up again with all this rain), and a small flock of Sebastopol geese that I'm currently marketing (I've found the goose/water combination is too much temptation for my alpacas who want to break down the fences to get into the goose pools!). I'll also be getting Muscovy ducks to replace those I lost to foxes last year.
I'd intended to buy a riding horse this year, but I recently had to replace my car and that took all my money! Oh well; next year.:/
