welcome from arklahoma. i'm glad the creepy crawlies are gone. make sure you do the second dip. and treat her bedding area too because the eggs will hatch you and then you'll have to start all over. not something you want to do i'm sure.
and yes you can start weaning a nigie at 8 - 10 weeks. just make sure she is eating browse, grain, hay and is drinking water well before you do. she should be fine. i'm kind of a slow wean kinda girl. I start adding less milk and more water to their bottle over a couple to three weeks. they still get a bottle and your attention but since the water doesn't fill them up and keep them full they start nosing around and eating more themselves. good luck with the baby girl and remember that we love pictures.
