First cutting is looking pretty good locally. We got in about 370 bales last
night after the hay guy stopped by. They got it down, dried and baled in
that little window of opportunity this week. We paid extra and they also
unloaded and stacked it for us!! Thank GOD, because husband and I had
both put in a grueling day of physical labor. We had to move the 100+ bales
from last year to open the storage area before they got back with the wagons,
and that about finished us off!

Sure beats last year for the weather and heat. Hope your hay is also coming
along well or already in the barn! Not much to match new hay in the barn
for a satisfied feeling.

I'm so waiting for that to happen here. We now have good weather but the hay man says next week. I just want it cut and in!

It's like a nesty feeling. All warm and snug. Love it!

What did you pay per bale? I'm splitting 2/3's for hay guy, 1/3 for me. With gas prices I feel OK about that deal. He offered me 2$ per bale if I wanted to keep it all.

Congrats on your new hay!

Ahhhhh....
it's still raining! Some in the area might have got theirs cut and put up but we haven't had more than 5 days straight without a big storm. I fear it's never gonna happen!
