ThankS for the approval. I’m great full for all the info this site offers. My son bought some doodlers back in March of this year we’ve never raised chickens before. We ended up with 5 hens 3 roosters. All the hens are white. One rooster is black with bluish purple feathers the other two are brown red black.

Welcome to the forum. 5 hens to 3 roosters is not a good ratio. Slaughter 2roosters, there won’t be a lot of meat like the commercial Cornish cross, but layer breed roosters are quite tasty! Lol Glad to have you join us! Hang around and we will soon have you expanding to goats, sheep, more chickens, pigs and a big garden!

Glad you've joined! As @Baymule mentioned above, 5:3 = no bueno. A good rule I go by is 5 hens per 1 rooster unless roosters and hens are completely separated. 3 roosters is a lot of raging hormones fighting for 5 hens and could put your hens under a lot of stress from over mating.
