Hi,

I'm living about an hour outside St. Louis. We have a 44 acre farm with horses, ducks, and a slew of dogs. Looking to add some Guernsey Goats, Mini Silky Fainting Goats, and pure Tennessee Fainting Goats to preserve the breeds. Also getting Sebastopol and Pilgrim Geese this Fall. Always wanted to live on a farm, and after a career in medicine, we are so happy to get out of the burbs to a beautiful farm.

Please put your general area in your profile so it shows up on the posts... :oldold fogies like me will not remember from one day to the next and sometimes suggestions are more region specific.... like different types of forages or hay...

Not a goat person but greatly respect wanting to preserve some of the rarer breeds.

Is your farm all grazing or will you be making hay off some of it or leasing some out to area farmers in exchange for hay or something? There are several horse people on here.
