Hey y'all, my name's Josh. found this site through your sister site BYC, which I've been a member of for a month or two now. We're just starting our little homestead and backyard flock and herd. We've currently got 2 Silkie Roos, 7 California White pullets (I hope they're all hens, anyway), and we just recently added our first doeling goat, Snow, who's a Boer Alpine cross and will be picking up her Nigerian buckling playmate, Joker, in a couple weeks. Pics attached of Miss Snow being her wonderful self laying in the chickens scratch box and the latest we received of Joker from the breeder.

Hello from TN. I love the pics! Sounds like you have a great start to your homestead. Our first goats, two Nigerian doelings, are scheduled to come home around the end of May.

Had a garden last year but ended up spending a lot of time in PA over the summer due to a death in the family among other things and most of what we planted got choked out by the grass or beaten down by heavy rains when it was just sprouting. We started our flock of chickens in what was our garden area last year to let them work the ground a while. We're gonna revisit the garden either later this year or next year hopefully with a better start.
