Hi all
We are moving from the city to a 21ha piece of land and want to be self sustainable. Looking at British Alphines to milk. Some sheep to breed with for meat. Then pigs, chickens and planting veggies and fruit trees. Have lots of seed accumulated over 2 and a half years of planting in our backyard. Now we will have space to do it all.
I am not very tech savvy so please bear with me if I do strange things.
Regards
Elmarie from South Africa

I see you're in South Africa, so available breeds are probably different there. But I'd suggest that you actually taste the milk from those you decide upon and before buying, and do go milk the goats (s) you are to buy. Some milk well, some don't. 😉

Of course, I have no idea of closeness to transport you have there to do these things. 🤷 Or the surroundings of your location. That plays a part in doing those things. 👍

Congrats on finding your own farm! We love pictures 😂. If you browse postings here, you'll see many interesting reads. Keep us posted on your progress. Does your new place already have house and outbuildings? Fences? All a lot of work 👍
