Hello everyone!
After years of researching and obsessing about adding goats to our homestead, it's finally happen in both this year!

We will be welcoming 2 doelings in late May/Early June - born already but dam-weaning
I've got three young girls who are OVER THE MOON excited after visiting the babies this past weekend. We are counting down the days, ordering supplies, getting up fencing and having a shelter delivered this weekend for some retro-fitting to make it perfect for our goats!

We also have 23 free range hens and live on 28 acres of land in a Cohousing community outside of Frederick, Maryland.

Lots of learning to do! Thanks for having me!
Christin

Greetings and welcome to BYH Christin, from NE TX! So glad you joined us. Love the pics of the kids with the "kids"! :love There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. I recommend at least your state as most folks won't be able to figure out where if you put anything more specific (county, town, street, etc) by itself. Old folks like me :old will never remember from this post title & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!

Welcome to the forum! Cute goats, no wonder your girls are so excited. Your girls will love having goats. We have 3 grand daughters who love to come out and play with the baby lambs.
