@Homesteadingmama7 Bear in mind that LGD's don't bond to poultry. It may take some training to teach them not to chase, play with, kill or even eat poultry. They are the ultimate squeaky toys. This one doesn't work no more......Look! there's another one! They can and do make fine poultry guards because the poultry "belong" to their territory.

If you want goats, puppies are more likely to "play" with young kids and lambs. My ewes will butt the dogs, grown goats will to. You might want to get older, experienced goats, raised with dogs. JMO

I am training Sheba on chickens, she wants to chase and grab them. She's good for awhile, then gets bored and wants to go after them. I have to limit her time.
