I have so many potatoes in the ground and in a few pots, I'm just hoping I get a huge crop. Our family loves potatoes but they are so expensive now it just makes me want to grow a thousand pounds of potatoes every year.
The average return on potatoes is supposed to be 10 # harvested for every pound of seed potatoes planted...
Las year I planted about 40 # seed potatoes from something like 17 different varieties... I harvested just under 380 lbs potatoes... some did good some not so good... Different areas of the garden did better than other areas. Fingerling potatoes way out produce that you would expect...

Thank you for the info. I prefer russets but may have to see about getting fingerlings

I tossed a bunch of corn in the garden and already have it starting to come up. The first blackberry bush I thought was going to die turned green so now I get double the blackberries. Smoothies cobbler and pies

I love blackberries!
I have to try to make it in the house with enough blackberries to be able to make a cobbler or anything else. I can already see myself walking in the house with a blackberry going in my mouth and even if I have 5 lbs of them I might have 2 left when I get inside.

Those are called yard snacks - totally free of calories too!
