I do the frozen water bottle trick as well and it seems to really help a lot. I have a littl ND baby that was born on 7/11 and it has been horribly hot here in central texas lately. I noticed that she was huddling in the shade, panting like a dog, so I took one of the frozen water bottles that we normally use to put in our water troughs to cool the water and I wrapped it in a plastic grocery bag to keep the bottle clean and then laid the bottle next to her. She cuddled right up to it and seemed much more comfortable after that. I was surprised by how long the bottle stayed frozen and even after thawing it was cold hours after I put it in there.

Now I make sure to put one or two out for her almost every day.
