This poor girl must have really had to to, to take a cleansing flight at 30 deg!
She made it over 100 ft from the hive though. She looks like one of my new black bee’s (carnolians) which ive noticed will fly at the lower temp.
She only had to hold it another two months and not had to perish on the way to the pooper!

She may have been on her way out and just wanted to help the other girls out so they'd have one less to drag out in the warmer weather.
Or at least I hope she felt better (finished the deed) before she died.:gig

Oufff. She needed to be a California bee... I just looked at our Shiro plum tree in full bloom and wondered if there are enough bees out yet for us to get a good crop... I just see a few here and there.
