I swear its one thing after another with these pigs. To start off I want to say that I know we should have removed the boarlings sooner, but we didn't, why? I couldnt tell ya. We have at least two litters that will be hitting the ground in the next month. It won’t happen again as we have a separate area for the intact boys. The gilts really started to show this week with Jolly looking massive and Opal rounding out. Good news is these girls aren’t too young as they will be a year old on the 22nd. They aren’t as big as I would like when it comes to breeding, however They are big enough that they should not have any difficulties with labor.
To be completely honest I am unsure how the offspring will fair and Im more concerned about the mothers recovery than anything else.
Jolly was not showing at all last week, however today I went to see her and she is really starting to show.
