It's great to see a bee section where we can learn from each other. Here's a few photos from this year.

My strongest hive. This one produced 30lbs of honey this year.

I made a split. I'm growing this nuc out like this during the winter. :fl

We won 2nd place at the Va State Fair Honey Competition. :)

Actually I could have gotten more. I got the second super on too late. I'm still learning. I won't make that mistake next spring. Normal is 60-80 lbs I'm told.

Coming down to the end of another bee keeping year. How'd your hives do for you this year?

Had one hive that I was working on getting through the winter. They made it!! Capped brood the other day. We have a few days coming up with temps around 48F. Other then that, spring is here. I've started feeding them a little. Ordered another 3 packages which will be in at the end of the month.

Nice! We are in full bloom here at the moment, so my bees are busy. I'm feeding as well.
