Pact to do creative 'thing'

I was grousing with a friend about how neither of us ever seem to do anything anymore just for the fun of it. So we made a pact to do some creative thing every day.
Mine is a bunch of little bitty paintings on a desk calendar.
I saw this on facebook somewhere. You just put drops of paint down, cover it with plastic wrap & squish it around, then look for shapes once it's dry and use markers. Fun, mindless little things.
They work better on the slick calendar paper then in my little water color book

Oh man - I was just thinking the same thing before Christmas (even bought a little sketch kind of notebook - that remains blank). I love doing stuff like that. Count me in!

You are right, in life we get so channeled into our "gotta do & work" that we honestly forget what relaxing and having fun actually is. 😞. We should try harder to set aside personal time....to he!! With all else. I try to go to a goat auction once a month -- for socializing as much as any sell/buy that happens. And, if a single, it's not fun to even eat out or have coffee out. Next table is probably on a computer, not even a hello.

Its actually a reason I've not totally quit work, just cut back. No matter the snuggles and cute baby kids, they don't have a verbal conversation.😵‍💫. They don't care how excited you are over the first ripe tomato--mine just hope I throw it to them. 😁

Yep...even a walk thru the farmers market counts! 😁👍

EXACTLY!!! And if your not very out-going around strangers, even a farmer's market can be an hour or so not talking to anyone except when purchasing. ☹️
