One of my bucklings had pastey poop tonight after his bottle(which he drank all of). Does this sound like cocci, or something else? What do I do??

For young babies that would be normal.
The first poops after they are born is tarry black (meconium)
Then it is yellow and kind of pasty for a few weeks before becoming brown, formed berries

How old is he?

Hello, an update, it’s a couple days late but we lost the buckling. I woke up the next morning after my original post to find that he didn’t make it through the night. It is very upsetting, I don’t know what happened to him. He was a month old, such a sweet boy.

I don’t think I’ve posted pictures of the kids yet.

This is the guy we lost. He was a beautiful blue/silver LaMancha

This is our doeling, Pippin. She has taken over as my shadow kid.

Our Nubian buckling. My husband named him Hershey because “he looks like he is dipped in chocolate”
